commercial - frequently asked questions
Do you take care of the whole project including the building and pool?
We provide a full design and build turnkey service for all aspects of the swimming pool contract from detailed design and structural engineering calculations, planning submissions, building regulation approval and CDM regulations. On site we take care of everything from basework preparation, air control systems, electrical and plumbing requirements to final commissioning of the building.
What size of pool will I need?
This will depend on the number of people you wish to cater for and the type of use they will be putting it to (lane swimming or general bathing). As a general rule in a multi-purpose pool, 3sq m of water area should be allowed per person. Offering alternative facilities such as a gymnasium or beauty suite can help spread customer loadings. There are also national safety guidelines on the maximum number of people allowed in the pool at one time.
How much does a commercial indoor swimming pool cost to build?
Our swimming pools vary in value from £200,000 to £2m plus, depending upon the size and complexity of the design. As a starting point, with our long experience in this market, we have developed a range of standard designs with indicative prices to give the customer an idea of what they will get for their budget. This often provides a useful starting point before commencing bespoke design work. Please contact us to request a copy.
As a guide, if you were to measure the overall footprint of the building, the total building cost can range from £2,500/sq.m for a small splash pool down to £1,500/sq.m for a 1,000sq.m leisure centre.
